J'ai besoin de vous! - I need your help!

J'ai été sélectionné comme demi-finaliste au concours Art du Style, présenté par le Complexe Les Ailes! Vous pouvez voter pour moi en cliquant sur cette bannière :

Parmi les 15 demi-finalistes, les 10 qui auront obtenu le plus de votes recevront une bourse de 800$ afin de réaliser un projet artistique inspiré d'un produit de luxe. Les dix œuvres seront exposées pour une durée d'un mois dans le Complexe Les Ailes au centre-ville de Montréal. Le gagnant recevra une bourse de 5000$.

Mon projet s'appelle Construction Sociale. Il consiste à créer un château de cartes géant en transformant 7 planches de contreplaqué de 4' x 6' en cartes à jouer à l'effigie du champagne Armand de Brignac. À l'intérieur du château, en dessous du sommet, je vais déposer la réputée bouteille dorée. 

L'expression "construction sociale" renvoie aux frontières et aux règles des sociétés, invisibles mais puissantes. Des règles qui sont créées, transformées, institutionnalisées et transmises aux générations futures. Cette construction est à la fois solide et fragile. Solide à cause de ses matériaux et de sa fabrication, mais fragile et vulnérable par ce qu'elle représente : un château de cartes.

Important: Vous pouvez voter pour une fois par jour, jusqu'à vendredi! Chaque personne peut donc me donner jusqu'à quatre votes de plus avant la fin du concours. Among the 15 semi-finalists, the 10 most popular will receive an 800$ grant to produce a work of art inspired by a luxury product. The ten works will be exhibited for a period of one month in Complexe Les Ailes, downtown Montreal. The winner will receive a 5,000$ grant.

My project is called Social Construction. It consists of a giant house of cards made with seven 4 'x 6' plywood boards with the image of Armand de Brignac champagne. Inside the castle, below the summit, I will introduce the famous golden bottle.

The term "social construction" refers to the boundaries and rules of society, invisible but powerful. Rules that are created, transformed, institutionalized and passed on to future generations. This construction is both strong and fragile. Strong because of its materials and manufacture, but fragile and vulnerable by what it represents: a house of cards.
