Very happy to participate to the celebrations of Fête Nationale in Longueuil with the students of integration classes of Gérard-Filion high school! Come see them paint frescoes at Parc Michel-Chartrand on Monday June 24, from noon to 5 pm. A huge thank you to Caroline Charbonneau for initiating this project, which was realized thanks to the cultural development agreement between the City of Longueuil and the Government of Quebec. Today, Stanley Kubrick would be 90 years old. Definitely one of the greatest filmmaker of all time. A few years ago, I created the Kubrick's Cube as a tribute to him and his work. I believe his movies are crafted like intricate puzzles, which keep unfolding every time I watch them... so it seemed appropriate. Also, I like puns! To create this piece, I customized Rubiks cubes with 54 of the most iconic scenes from Stanley's movies, which have been tainted with the classic colors from the original toy. It measures 5.9 cm (2.25") on each side and is 100% playable. It comes in a box with a numbered certificate. Limited edition. Shipping included.

This is the portrait of Jacques Plante, the first hockey goalie to wear a mask regularly in the NHL. He did so after having received a powerful shot by Andy Bathgate during a game against the NY Rangers on November 1st, 1959. The shot broke his nose and required 200 stiches. Plante then told his coach Toe Blake that he would only return if he wore the mask. He agreed, and they won 3-1. That year, Montreal Canadiens won their fifth Stanley cup in a row , which will be Plante's last. He also receives Vezina trophee, awarded to the best goaler.
Another busy year, which gave me excellent memories, but also very good lessons. New collaborations, opportunities and possibilities. My path seems to become more and more exploratory, in constant change, reshaping itself as I move from one project to another. Here is my top 9 for 2017:
